I have worked on over 25 titles from EA's Madden and FIFA titles, to mobile shooter games and even a game about a friendly coin collecting dolphin ;)
I have worked on various consoles and mobile devices in addition to working with AAA companies such as EA , 505 Games, Zynga and more.
I now work on side game projects as a hobby.
I graduated with an advanced diploma as a Computer Technologist from St.Lawrence College in 2007 and began my career with HB-Studios as a software engineer shortly after. Working at HB-Studios allowed me to develop many skills and eventually progress into a Section Lead role guiding junior members. In the Winter of 2016 I moved to Halifax to work for the mobile developer Hothead Games and updated many legacy titles in addition to creating tools for management and implementing Analytics Hooks into games. In 2017 I moved back to my hometown of Cornwall Ontario to teach Game Programming at St. Lawrence College.
In 2017 I moved back to my home town of Cornwall to teach full-time for the Game Development Technician program and in January of 2019 I assumed the role of Program Coordinator.
My teaching style is fairly hands on approach. Teaching a programming language is only the first step, teaching people to become programmers requires them to understand the way the computer is interpreting their code, think logically and solve problems. I believe in an approach where you demonstrate a solution to a problem, you walk the students through a problem, finally you allow them to use what they've learned to solve it on their own.
